This privacy statement outlines the information ArtTix/Salt Lake County (SLCO) will collect and how ArtTix will use the information.

Notice to Provider of Information:

This Notice describes how personal information you may be asked to provide is used by the County when that information could be classified as Private or Controlled under the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA). 

As a client of ArtTix, which is owned and operated by the Salt Lake County Arts and Culture, you are entitled to receive notice about our information collection practices. It is important for you to understand that information you provide may be classified as Private and Controlled under the Government Records Access and Management Act.

What is Private and Controlled information?
These are records or other documents held by Salt Lake County which includes your personal information such as home address, home telephone number, birth date, social security number, certain medical or financial information, entitlement to social services, home ownership and living conditions, and similar items of a personal nature. The Private and Controlled information collected by ArtTix are addresses and phone numbers.

Why are you being asked to provide Private and Controlled information?
ArtTix requests your Private information on behalf of the arts organizations that use our ticketing system and use our County-owned venues and services to facilitate an ongoing relationship with their customers.

What are the consequences for refusing to provide Private and Controlled information?
At the time of purchase, patrons can specify that their information not be shared. If you choose not to provide information requested by ArtTix, we cannot guarantee replacement of lost tickets.

ArtTix shares information with: The arts organization whose event the client purchases tickets for.

Salt Lake County respects the privacy of every individual who visits our websites. The ArtTix website is owned and operated by Salt Lake County. This website is maintained and operated by Salt Lake County Arts & Culture and ArtTix, a Salt Lake County entity. Personally Identifiable Information
When you visit the Salt Lake County Arts or ArtTix websites, we will not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you provide it voluntarily and as part of a requested service; in this case, the purchase of a ticket. This information includes your name, address, telephone number or email address.

Should you not wish to provide any Personally Identifiable Information, you may use the ArtTix service in a non-electronic matter by visiting the ticket office in person or calling 800-355-ARTS for assistance.

Non Personally Identifiable Information
ArtTix/SLCO may collect information about you that is not personally identifiable. Examples of this type of information includes IP Address, time of visit, type of browser or computer operating system you use, domain name of the website from which you liked to our sites.

ArtTix/SLCO will not attempt to tie any personally identifiable information on to individual users to non-personally identifiable information. We use this information to gather broad demographic information about our users in general. We also use it to help diagnose issues with our server and administer our website.

ArtTix/SLCO may store some information on your computer. This information will be in the form of a “cookie.” Most internet browsers enable you to erase cookies from your computer’s hard drive, block all cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. SLCO/ArtTix is committed to keeping secure any data you provide us. We take reasonable precautions to protect your personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, or alteration. SLCO/ArtTix employs industry standards in securing this information.

Non County Websites
The Salt Lake County Arts and ArtTix websites link to various non-SLCO websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies on websites that we provide links to. We recommend that visitors to non-County sites check the privacy statements of these sites and understand how those organizations will use your personally identifiable information.
