Indulge in the sheer euphoria of Dvorák’s Symphony No. 8, where a solo flute in the first movement whisks you away to musical visions of the majestic beauty of the natural world. Conductor David Danzmayr brings back his wonderful connection to our musicians and audiences, adding color to the rich folk traditions in this Dvorák symphony.
Begin the evening with music by Grammy-winning composer Jessie Montgomery and hear Concertmaster Madeline Adkins’ exceptional talent shine in two works—Glazunov’s lyrical Violin Concerto and Rachmaninoff’s wistful Vocalise.
