JOB SUMMARY

Supports the Arts & Culture Division Community Engagement team through social media content development, deployment of strategic marketing campaigns, and assistance with community engagement initiatives and projects. Requires experience or background in writing, content creation, and research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, or other closely related field, Or two (2) years of experience in Content Development and Marketing.

Preference given to candidates with experience in community outreach, WordPress, social media platforms, and/or analytic tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops timely, engagement-focused content for social media platforms and email marketing (may involve attendance of client or Division events for the purpose of content creation)
  • Collaborates with other Marketing staff to plan and schedule social media content calendar
  • Research up-to-date strategies and tools to support online engagement efforts
  • Assists with maintaining content for both venue digital screens and website
  • Monitors online presence for Division venues and services
  • Assists with research, data gathering, and reporting to support Division community engagement strategy
  • Supports implementation of community engagement initiatives and projects through content creation and day-of event assistance.
  • Provides additional support for marketing campaigns and community engagement projects as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work duties are typically performed in a general office setting. May be required to lift, carry, push and/or pull items with a strength factor of light work; sit or stand for extended periods; climb a step stool/ladder and reach above shoulders; bend at the waist, kneel or crouch.

PAID TEMPORARY POSITIONS

An “At Will”, FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work  an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

  • Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.
  • Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
  • Are not considered merit employees.
  • Are “at will” employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION

This position may be required to work nights and weekends in conjunction with venue performance schedules and community engagement activities.
